We are excited to announce Sonya Collins, an experienced paralegal and veteran of the United States Air Force, has joined the Vann Attorneys, PLLC team, bringing over two decades of legal experience with her. Sonya launched her paralegal career in 1998 after graduating from the Denver Paralegal Institute. Her first role in law was with a small firm in Colorado Springs, where she worked in general litigation and real property. She later moved to the Boston area, where, while working full-time, she earned her Juris Doctor from Massachusetts School of Law in 2004.

Sonya's legal experience is wide-ranging, having practiced law in Boston until 2008 and focusing on general litigation and employment law. Most recently, she has honed her skills in construction law, landlord/tenant law, and toxic mold cases at a Raleigh firm. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, Sonya ensures her work is comprehensive, grammatically correct, and, most importantly, serves the best interests of our clients.

Raised in Vermont by a single mom alongside her four siblings, Sonya embodies resilience and dedication. She is also a proud spouse of a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant and mother to two sons. Sonya enjoys escaping the everyday world through the novels of Nora Roberts and getting lost in WWII documentaries and reality shows. A fan of Contemporary Christian and Country music, Sonya's positive and joyous energy radiates through her work. Outside of the office, she treasures spending time with her family and traveling with her husband, particularly on cruises.

Sonya's belief in being attentive to clients echoes Vann Attorneys, PLLC's commitment to excellent client service. She understands that each interaction matters and values making each client feel heard and supported. Sonya's journey, both personal and professional, is a testament to her perseverance and faith.
